Job summary

Qualifications

  • 2) CPA or progress toward CPA certification is required.
  • 3) 2–4 years of accounting, auditing, fund accounting, or fund administration experience within financial services is required.
  • 4) Experience supporting private credit, private equity, alternative investments, or other investment funds is preferred.
  • 5) Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required; experience with fund accounting systems or investment platforms is preferred.
  • 6) Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain fund accounting records, trial balances, and general ledger activity while supporting the accuracy of financial data.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, investor reporting, and internal management reports for investment funds.
  • Assist with capital calls, distributions, and related fund transactions timely and accurately.
  • Support investment data maintenance, reconciliations, audit requests, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with fund administrators and internal finance teams to resolve accounting matters and support ongoing fund operations.
  • Contribute to process improvements and ensure compliance with established procedures.

Atlantic Group is hiring a Fund Accountant (Private Credit) in West Palm Beach, FL for our client, supporting fund accounting, financial reporting, and investment operations within a growing alternative asset management environment. This role is responsible for financial reporting, capital activity, investor reporting, and fund accounting for private credit investment vehicles while partnering with internal teams and external service providers. The ideal candidate has experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or fund administration within financial services and is looking to build a long-term career in private credit.

Responsibilities as the Fund Accountant (Private Credit):
  • Fund Accounting: Maintain fund accounting records, trial balances, and general ledger activity while supporting the accuracy of financial data.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, investor reporting, and internal management reports for investment funds.
  • Capital Activity: Assist with capital calls, distributions, and related fund transactions while ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Fund Operations: Support investment data maintenance, reconciliations, audit requests, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with fund administrators and internal finance teams to resolve accounting matters and support ongoing fund operations.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to operational enhancements, maintain compliance with established procedures, and support ad hoc reporting initiatives.
Qualifications for the Fund Accountant (Private Credit):
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Certification: CPA or progress toward CPA certification is required.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of accounting, auditing, fund accounting, or fund administration experience within financial services is required.
