Job summary

Infosys Limited in the United States is seeking a Technology Consultant 1 to assist in testing, integration, and design discussions within the SURE unit. You will develop and document code, run test plans, and support deployment of new features in the utilities domain.

The role requires experience in functional and system integration testing, energy trading and risk management, and Oracle CC&B, with flexibility for relocation or travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in Functional Testing and System Integration Testing (SIT).
• Experience in Energy Trading and Risk Management domain.
• Experience in Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B).
• Experience in the Utilities domain.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting targeted interviews and workshops to capture user needs, and document stakeholder requirements.
• Participate in design discussions to capture software specifications and aid in process documentation.
• Develop, refine, and document code for new software applications following detailed design specifications.
• Execute test plans, analyse outcomes, and report defects to the development team for software improvements.
• Support the integration of new software features, facilitating transitions within the existing system.
• Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, ensuring prompt resolution and documentation for maintenance.
• Systematically document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions to enrich the team knowledge base.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 1, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Assist in conducting targeted interviews and workshops to capture user needs, and ensure accurate documentation of stakeholder requirements
• Participate in design discussions to capture software specifications, and aid in creation of process documentation.
• Develop, refine, and document code for new software applications, following detailed design specifications to meet user requirements
• Execute test plans, analyse outcomes, and report defects to the development team, to facilitate enhancement of software performance
• Support the integration of new software features, facilitating smooth transitions within the existing system infrastructure
• Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and creation of comprehensive documentation for ongoing system maintenance
• Systematically document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions, thereby enriching team's knowledge repository

Required Skill and Experience

• Candidate should have Experience in Functional Testing and System Integration Testing (SIT).
• Candidate should have experience in Energy Trading and Risk Management domain.
• Candidate should have experience in Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B).
• Candidate should have experience in the Utilities domain.

Preferred Skill and Experience

• Experience in SDLC Testing
• Experience supporting utility customer service and billing applications.
• Experience validating business processes related to customer care, billing, and meter-to-cash operations.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.
