Job summary

Peraton is seeking a senior program consultant to provide guidance and leadership on a critical National Security program. The role requires TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain it, and a Bachelor’s degree (or 12+ years in engineering-related fields).

You will advise the client and project teams on policy, planning, analysis, and engineering disciplines. This onsite position in Springfield, Virginia, emphasizes heavy collaboration with DoD/IC stakeholders, model-based systems engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 12+ years working experience in an engineering field.
• 12+ years experience providing guidance and direction in high technology programs.
• 12+ years of guidance, consultation, facilitation, and thought leadership to client/project teams.

Responsibilities

• Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques.
• Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and obtain information on project limitations and capabilities.
• Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats, costs, and operational needs to determine mission health.
• Consult with customers about commercial software solutions, planning, and maintenance strategies.
• Confer with data processing and project managers to obtain information on limitations and capabilities for data reporting and metrics projects.
• Prepare reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities and status.
• Evaluate factors such as reporting formats, costs, and need for operational restrictions to determine mission health.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure quality is integrated in development and manufacture.

Required:

• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, Image Science,Data Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or other related degree program or 12+ years working experience in an engineering field; Bachelor’s in Business Administration will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Desired:

• Master’s degree or higher in Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, Image Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or other related degree program.
• Experience in engineering, design and analysis of IT or related systems experience in all phases of design, development, analysis and documentation, and development of standards and guidelines for tasks being performed.
• Experience working with DoD/IC Acquisition Process or PPBES.
• Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
• Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.
• Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with:

• Project Management software (Project, Primavera)
• Financial tracking software
• Customer relationship management CRM software.
• Enterprise resource planning ERP software.

Location: This position is 100% onsite in Springfield, Virginia. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
