Job summary

Kaygen, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Functional Safety Engineer to join our team in North Carolina. You will lead safety-upfront analyses, implement Safety PLC programs, and verify safety circuits against ISO 13849-1 and OSHA standards.

The role requires 5+ years in functional safety, hands-on PLC experience, and TÜV FSE certification. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineers to drive safety compliance, audits, and risk mitigation across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in functional safety engineering (7–10+ preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Safety PLC systems and programming.
• Experience in safety circuit design, review, and validation.
• Experience conducting safety audits and compliance assessments.
• Functional Safety Certification (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety Engineer / FSE) required.
• Knowledge of ISO 13849-1, ANSI B11, and OSHA standards.
• Technical associate’s degree or higher in Engineering or related field.
