Job description

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Functional ERP Engineer to support our Finance & Accounting team. This role operates at the critical intersection of Oracle Fusion Cloud Finance and agentic AI. You will lead the intelligent automation of financial workflows, architect AI-assisted analytics layers, and embed large language model capabilities directly into finance operations- driving significant impact across close cycles, audit readiness, and strategic reporting.

Job Summary:

As a Functional ERP Engineer, you will leverage advanced analytics, automation, and agentic AI to support the various functions within the Finance & Accounting department. You will design and optimize processes to streamline reporting for Oracle Cloud modules—including GL, AP, AR, and FA—and ensure data accuracy across all financial systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will deliver actionable insights through tools like SQL, Oracle Cloud, and AI frameworks to drive strategic financial decisions. Your role will include architecting AI-powered solutions to accelerate the financial close, enhance reporting accuracy, and maintain developed processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Oracle Fusion Cloud Finance Engineering
  • Architect, configure, and optimize Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, FAH and procurement) to support enterprise-scale finance and accounting operations. Architect, configure, and optimize Oracle FCCS(Financial Consolidation and Close) within EPM cloud.

  • Lead end-to-end enhancement cycles including requirements gathering, solution design, build, testing, and hypercare support.

  • Design and manage Oracle OTBI, FRS, and Smart View reporting frameworks; build curated datasets and semantic layers to support self-service finance analytics.

  • Develop and maintain Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)/Boomi and REST/SOAP-based integrations between Oracle Financials and adjacent systems (e.g., ADP, Concur, Treasury, Procurement platforms).

  • Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to streamline the monthly close, accelerate audit cycles, and eliminate manual touchpoints through automation.

  • Ensure data integrity, reconciliation accuracy, and audit-readiness across all financial data flows.

AI & Intelligent Automation
  • Design and deploy AI-powered solutions — including anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and LLM-assisted workflows — embedded directly into Oracle Finance processes.

  • Build and productionize Agentic AI for use cases such as invoice creation, variance forecasting, duplicate detection, and audit risk scoring.

  • Integrate generative AI capabilities (e.g., LLM-based document extraction, natural language query layers) to augment finance team productivity and reduce manual analysis burden.

  • Develop AI-assisted reconciliation and journal entry validation pipelines, reducing error rates and accelerating the financial close cycle.

  • Evaluate and implement emerging AI tools and frameworks appropriate for finance automation, working with Data Engineering on scalable model deployment.

Analytics, Reporting & Data
  • Design and maintain Oracle OTBI dashboards connected to Oracle Cloud data sources, supporting FP&A, Accounting, Procurement, and Treasury reporting needs.

  • Develop and govern SQL-based data models, extract-transform-load pipelines, and semantic layers to ensure reliable, performant, and auditable data foundations.

  • Translate complex financial data into accessible, actionable visualizations for non-technical stakeholders including CFO-level reporting.

  • Own documentation of critical metrics, KPI logic, and lineage to support data governance and regulatory compliance.

Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Serve as the senior technical liaison between Finance, Accounting, FP&A, IT, Data Engineering, and Procurement - translating business requirements into technical architecture and delivery roadmaps.

  • Document business process workflows, identify automation opportunities and pain points, and lead resolution initiatives with measurable impact on efficiency and accuracy.

  • Mentor junior engineers and analysts; establish engineering best practices, code standards, and testing protocols for the Finance Technology team.

  • Provide ongoing operational support for live Oracle Cloud environments, including troubleshooting data issues, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). Master’s degree is a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud implementation, finance systems engineering with a strong focus on supporting Finance & Accounting partners.

  • Deep domain expertise in Finance & Accounting operations, including month-end close cycles, reconciliation, audit readiness, AP/AR, and strategic financial reporting.

  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, OTBI).

  • Certification in Oracle Cloud Financials is highly desirable; additional credentials in AI or data engineering are considered a significant advantage.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
