Job summary

Hickory Trail Hospital is seeking an Intake Registered Nurse (RN) for the night shift. You will work Sunday through Monday with alternating Saturdays, from 6:45pm to 7:15am, in a 86-bed behavioral health facility just south of Dallas. The role emphasizes intake assessments and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Current Texas RN license or eligibility, CPR/BLS, and 3+ years in psychiatric care are preferred; new grads welcome. Join us for strong career development within UHS.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing by the Texas State Board of Nursing (or eligible to receive/ renew).
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• New Grads welcome!

Responsibilities

• Provide intake RN services during the night shift (6:45pm–7:15am).
• Engage in initial assessment and triage of patients entering Hickory Trail Hospital.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and appropriate disposition.
