Charter College in Farmington, NM seeks an experienced HVAC Instructor for a full-time, exempt position. You will prepare lectures, deliver labs, and monitor attendance, guiding students toward successful completion in accordance with the approved curriculum.

• Monitor and document student attendance and retention.
• Grade assignments and provide feedback; assign final grades timely.
• Provide academic support during office hours or by appointment.
• Substitute for classes when needed.
• Advise students on academic progress and policies.
• Communicate student matters with the Dean of Education.
• Submit textbook and equipment needs to the Dean.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Obtain consumables and instructional materials as needed.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
• Participate in faculty development to meet accreditation standards.
• Ensure students comply with catalog guidelines.
• Attend mandatory meetings and serve on committees as assigned.

Position: HVAC Instructor (Full-Time)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver all lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction in accordance with the approved curriculum.
• Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods; develop materials as directed by the President.
• Maintain daily lesson plans and instructional records.
• Monitor and document student attendance and retention.
• Grade assignments, return feedback promptly, and assign final grades in a timely manner.
• Provide academic support during scheduled office hours or by appointment.
• Substitute for classes when necessary.
• Advise students on academic progress, school policies, and satisfactory performance.
• Communicate student-related matters with the Dean of Education.
• Submit textbook, supply, and equipment needs in writing to the Dean of Education.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies in secured facilities.
• Obtain consumable supplies and instructional materials as needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Participate in faculty development to meet accreditation standards.
• Ensure students comply with catalog guidelines.
• Attend all mandatory meetings.
• Serve on committees as assigned (e.g., curriculum development, retention).
• Perform other duties as required.

Compensation:

• Status: Full-Time, Salaried (Exempt)
• Starting Salary: $68,640 – $72,800 annually (DOE)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of HVAC field experience (Required).
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Prior instructional experience strongly preferred.
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Farmington, NM.
