Job Description:
The cook is responsible for preparing assigned menu items according to standardized recipes and using HACCP guidelines. Other responsibilities include cleaning and daily maintenance of equipment; proper storage of food items and assistance with recipe development to meet departmental guidelines. Prefer someone with minimum of one-year previous related experience in a public institution. Must have a good understanding of weights and cooking units of measure. Requires long hours of prolonged walking and standing in a hot, noisy environment. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds. Will be supervising other employees. Supervisory experience helpful. This is a full-time position at Spring Creek Health Care Facility. Hours are 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., five days per week.
