Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in engineering with strong expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Python.
• Experience delivering high-impact features and applications that drive customer adoption.
• Experience with AI/ML products, or integrating Generative AI into workflows is a bonus.
• Skill in connecting frontends to complex data foundations with effective state management.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity and make architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of scalable full-stack solutions and ensure high code quality.
• Act as a technical partner for key customer accounts, translating business needs into data products.
• Champion best practices for secure coding, testing, and CI/CD.
• Design and build APIs in Python and user experiences in React/TS.

How you’ll demonstrate Ownership

As a Full Stack Developer in the Value Delivery organization, your mission is to make our customers successful. You will lead the implementation of scalable solutions using our cutting‑edge development framework. You will be the technical bridge between Data Engineers, Data Science, and the end user, ensuring that customer-defined data models are transformed into elegant, high‑performance and secure applications.

The Impact you bring to Cognite

• Technical Ownership & Execution: Lead the implementation of scalable full-stack solutions. You’ll leverage AI-native development workflows (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to solve complex problems from concept to deployment, ensuring high code quality and modern engineering standards.
• Customer-Centric Development: Act as a technical partner for key customer accounts. You will translate business pain points into high-performing data products, bridging the gap between user needs and technical execution.
• Engineering Excellence: Champion best practices for secure coding, comprehensive testing, and robust CI/CD. You will play a key role in peer reviews and defining how AI-assisted code is integrated to maintain a balance between speed and security.
• Full-Stack Implementation: Design and build elegant APIs (Python) and intuitive, responsive user experiences (React/TS), ensuring the underlying infrastructure is performant and scalable.
• Data Integration: Collaborate with Data Engineers and Solution Architects to ensure backend data foundations are optimized for a seamless, 'model-aware' frontend experience.
• Mentorship: Act as a technical mentor to mid-level and junior engineers, sharing documentation and best practices to elevate the team’s collective competence.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ Years of Engineering Craftsmanship: Strong expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and Python, with a proven history of building and maintaining industrial-grade SaaS products.
• The 'Delivery' Mindset: A track record of shipping high-impact features and applications that drive real customer adoption.
• AI & GenAI Fluency: Experience with AI/ML products or integrating Generative AI into workflows is a significant plus.
• Data-Aware Design: Strong experience connecting frontends to complex data foundations (via GraphQL or REST), with a focus on performant state management and the visualization of large datasets.
• Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, work cross-functionally, and make sound architectural trade-offs at the project level.
