JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Bank is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive secure, scalable technology products. You will be a core technical contributor delivering solutions across multiple domains and leading architectural discussions.

You will mentor teams, advance cloud and security practices, and participate in communities of practice while contributing to a culture of inclusion and high performance.

Formación

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, and React JS or Angular.
• 3+ years AWS services including ECS, EKS, S3, SQS, Lambda, EventBridge, SNS, auto scaling, and networking.
• 3+ years experience with Kafka and 5+ years with relational or NoSQL databases.
• 3+ years experience with Splunk and Grafana, creating dashboards and alerts.
• 5+ years integrating security in the SDLC, including threat modeling and vulnerability assessments.
• Proficiency in automation, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Bank, youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
  • 7+ years of Java, J2EE, Spring/Spring boot, React JS or Angular
  • 3+ years AWS services, including ECS, EKS, S3, SQS, Lambda, Event Bridge, SNS, auto scaling, load balancing, storage, backup, networking and related cloud concepts.
  • 3+ years experience with distributed streaming platform like Kafka;
  • 5+ Database experience with relational database like Oracle, or non relational like Cassandra or other NoSQL
  • 3+ years expertise in using monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana and creating dashboards and alerts using thesetools.
  • 5+ years expertise with integrating security measures within the software development lifecycle, including threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and implementing best practices to safeguard applications against potential security threats and breaches.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
