Job summary

Job responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine or conventional approaches to solve complex technical problems
• Deliver end-to-end cloud-native, microservices-based applications, leveraging the latest technologies and best industry practices
• Apply domain modeling techniques to build best-in‑class business products, structuring software for clarity, testability, and long‑term evolution
• Develop secure, high‑quality production code and review and debug code written by others to uphold engineering standards
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve the overall operational stability of software applications and systems
• Design and build scalable, secure, and reliable solutions using modern architectural patterns that ensure zero‑downtime releases and optimize data performance
• Lead communities of practice across software engineering to drive awareness and adoption of new and leading‑edge technologies
• Continuously evaluate and update technologies and patterns to keep systems current and resilient
• Contribute to a team culture of diversity, inclusion, opportunity, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Proficiency in back‑end technologies (e.g., Java, Spring Boot, Node.js) with experience building microservices‑based applications; for full‑stack roles, proficiency also includes front‑end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular)
• Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), distributed systems, and web technologies including RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and JSON
• Hands‑on experience designing and building scalable applications using SQL and NoSQL databases
• Demonstrated ability to independently solve design and functionality challenges with minimal supervision
• Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and a solid understanding of the software development life cycle
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods, including CI/CD pipelines and application resiliency practices

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience in the financial services or banking domain
• AWS or equivalent cloud certification
• Demonstrated ability to drive broader impact by sharing and contributing engineering best practices across teams
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team growth and development
