PANAPPS INTERNATIONAL is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to support Azure-hosted applications, microservices and supporting infrastructure. You will work across front-end UI, APIs, integrations and data platforms, contributing to secure, reliable and maintainable solutions.

You will partner with DevOps and business stakeholders to enhance architecture, improve performance and reduce technical debt while delivering high-quality software across the stack.

Qualifications

Experience building cloud-hosted applications on Microsoft Azure.
Experience with APIs, microservices and distributed/event-driven systems.
CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps and deployment automation.
Web applications using React with TypeScript or JavaScript.
Back-end development with Python and FastAPI.
REST APIs design, data modeling and integration skills.
Database experience with SQL Server / PostgreSQL / Cosmos DB.

Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Full Stack Software Developer to support the ongoing development, maintenance and enhancement of multiple bespoke business applications and supporting microservices.You will work across user interfaces, APIs, integrations, data platforms and cloud-hosted services, helping to deliver secure, reliable and maintainable solutions that support a wide range of business functions.

A key part of the role will be helping CLIENT take ownership of a complex Azure-hosted application. Initially, you will focus on understanding the existing architecture, services, integrations, hosting environment and operational processes while building documentation and technical knowledge. Over time, CLIENT will take increasing ownership of the platform, delivering enhancements, improving reliability and maintainability, and helping shape the future direction of the application ecosystem.

The application landscape consists of multiple Azure-hosted services, containerised applications, microservices and supporting infrastructure. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong understanding of the underlying platform, including Docker containers, Kubernetes orchestration, Linux-based hosting environments and operational support processes, enabling them to confidently troubleshoot issues and contribute to ongoing platform improvements.

Working closely with business stakeholders, developers and DevOps engineers, you will contribute to application design, code quality, performance and long-term maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of the existing application ecosystem, including architecture, microservices, integrations, deployment processes and operational requirements.
Develop an understanding of the application hosting environment, including Azure services, container platforms, Kubernetes clusters, Linux servers and deployment architecture.
Enhance documentation for supportability and ongoing ownership of the applications and services.
Design, develop and enhance responsive web applications using React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
Develop APIs, microservices, integrations and business logic using Python, FastAPI and related technologies.
Develop data-processing, validation, reporting and workflow functionality across multiple business applications.
Design, maintain and optimise data models across SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Cosmos DB.
Develop and support asynchronous processing solutions using Celery and related technologies.
Integrate applications with internal systems, external APIs and cloud-based services.
Support and troubleshoot containerised applications running within Docker and Kubernetes environments, working closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to maintain platform reliability and performance.
Write and maintain automated tests to support reliable software delivery and platform stability.
Investigate and resolve issues across applications, APIs, integrations, databases, Linux servers and microservices.
Refactor and improve existing code to enhance performance, scalability, maintainability and security.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve architecture, tooling and development processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong experience developing and supporting modern cloud-hosted applications within Microsoft Azure environments.
Experience working across APIs, microservices, distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
Practical experience working within Azure DevOps development, release and CI/CD processes.
Strong experience developing modern web applications.
Strong front-end development experience with React and JavaScript or TypeScript.
Strong Python development experience using modern application frameworks.
Experience designing, building and consuming REST APIs.
Strong database experience across SQL Server, PostgreSQL and/or Cosmos DB.
Experience with asynchronous processing technologies such as Celery.
Experience with automated testing, debugging and code refactoring.
Strong experience working with containerised applications using Docker and supporting solutions deployed within Kubernetes environments, including troubleshooting, monitoring and operational support.
Good understanding of Linux administration, particularly Ubuntu Server, including system configuration, networking, security, log analysis and performance troubleshooting.
Experience using application monitoring, structured logging and performance diagnostics to support production systems.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
