Luce Elementary School is seeking a Full Year Permanent Building Substitute for the upcoming school year starting August 2026. This role provides instructional and supervisory support, filling in for educational or instructional positions as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

The school serves over 500 students in K-5 and emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and supportive learning environments. This is a full-year, 180-day position with a $165 daily rate and five paid days off.

Qualifications

• High School degree required; Bachelors preferred
• Teaching degree preferred
• Recent experience working with school-age children
• Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
• Other requirements as deemed necessary by the Superintendent of Schools

Responsibilities

• Fill in as a classroom teacher, educational assistant or support personnel with the school building as assigned by the building principal
• Support the school, staff and students
• Be a positive and collaborative member of the school community
• Flexibility and patience are key to success in this role
