The Switcher I is responsible for the transport of full and empty trailers between the docks and the designated drop parking locations in the \"Trailer Yard\" to support the inbound unloading and the outbound loading warehouse operations in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner. This position will perform inspections of the trailers for any discovered issues of mechanical maintenance needs before moving, tagging out any trailers requiring attention, and communicating any discovered issues to warehouse management and, or fleet maintenance. This position may also occasionally be required to operate a forklift and, or other PIT equipment within the warehouse.
PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification includingPallet Jack, Forklift, Double Forklift, and Switch Tractor.
