Job summary

Catholic Charities of Buffalo is seeking a full-time WIC Nutritionist (CPA) in Erie County. The Nutritionist administers nutrition services, determines eligibility, and coordinates with health staff to ensure smooth clinic flow.

This role requires a registered Nutrition and Diabetic Technician (DTR/NDTR) or a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, plus reliable transportation to travel to multiple WIC sites. Strong computer skills are essential for program documentation.

Qualifications

• Nutrition and Diabetic Technician registered (DTR/NDTR) OR RN with a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to other WIC sites and transport equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Participant Centered Nutrition Services (PCNS) by phone or in person.
• May perform duties of Nutrition Assistant and Program Support Staff.
• Enroll participants by completing nutritional assessments and determining eligibility.
• Prescribe and document food packages and referrals; follow up on nutrition services.
