Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Joplin, Missouri is seeking experienced welders with Flux Core welding skills. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience and be able to qualify in various welding positions. The compensation ranges from $27.25 to $33.50 per hour, plus a shift differential for those on 2nd shift. The work hours are from Monday to Thursday, 3:00pm to 1:30am, with voluntary overtime available on weekends.

• Candidates must qualify in the Flux Core process of 2/3/4G and 5F positions.
• Experience with 2/3G GTAW and GMAW positions is desired.

Job description

Experience with Flux Core required, GTAW and GMAW experience highly desired.

Selected candidates must qualify in the Flux Core process of 2/3/4G and 5F positions at minimum.

2/3G GTAW and GMAW positions if experienced.

Preferred 2 years of welding experience in like industry.

Ability to read a tape measure.

Proficient in blueprint reading specifically related to welding joints & symbols.

Ability to use a fillet gauge.

Understand material grades (i.e. pipe, plate, bar, fittings & P-No.).

Knowledge of interpass/temp/heat input.

Understand and adhere to Weld Procedures (EMITP).
