Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is hiring Warehouse associates in Plainfield, IN for full-time roles at our distribution center. Weekend shifts run Friday to Sunday with a differential of $1.25 per hour.

Positions include Material Handler and Processing Associate, offering hourly wages with the weekend premium. Responsibilities cover unloading, loading, warehousing, RF scanning training, and routine documentation.

Qualifications

• Basic English reading comprehension required.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, reach, push and lift 10–50 lbs repeatedly.
• Willingness to be trained on RF scanning equipment.
• Must be 18 years or older and pass background/drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Unload, load, stage and warehouse cartons following safety procedures.
• Operate manual and mechanical equipment as required.
• Complete documentation accurately and report errors to Supervisor.
• Verify purchase orders, location numbers, case pack quantities before receiving/picking/loading.
• Determine pallet placement based on box size and product; maintain proper storage.

Overview

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking Warehouse employees to join our distribution center team in Plainfield, IN. We are hiring Full Time opportunities!

Shifts

Weekend: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:30am - 7:15pm *earn $1.25/hr more

Positions Available

Material Handler: $19.25/hr + $1.25/hr

Processing Associate: $18.00/hr + $1.25/hr

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs unloading, loading, staging & warehousing of cartons, practicing safe & secure procedures & following proper material handling methods for maximum productivity
• Safely operates manual and mechanical equipment according to procedures
• Completes all documentation neatly and accurately and reports any errors found to Department Supervisor
• Verifies purchase order, location numbers, case pack quantities and other information prior to receiving, picking or loading merchandise
• Must determine where pallets are to be placed in locations based on box size and product.
• Practices safe and secure material handling methods and distributes merchandise properly in accordance with processing standards
• Performs spot checks of system to ensure merchandise is sorted properly

Qualifications

• Must achieve equipment operator certification on the job and operate as necessary for the position
• Must be willing to be trained and operate radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment as necessary for the position
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull & lift cartons/bins weighing approximately 10-50 pounds repetitively
• Ability to keep pace with production standards
• Basic English reading comprehension and numerical reasoning skills
• Manual dexterity
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
