Job summary

Village Veterinary Clinic in Mayfield, Ohio is seeking a Full‑Time Veterinary Assistant to join our growing medical support team. You’ll help keep accurate medical records, prep patients, administer medications, and support diagnostics in a modern AAHA Accredited hospital.

Qualifications

Experience as a veterinary assistant delivering high‑quality care.
Calm, compassionate presence for patients and clients.
Strong communication with the team.

Responsibilities

Keeping accurate medical records and helping answer client questions.
Prepping patients for exams and surgeries.
Administering medications as directed.
Assisting with lab testing (blood, fecal, urine, etc.).
Cleaning and sanitizing surgical tools, kennels, and exam areas.
Monitoring post‑op patients and reporting any changes.
Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures.
Helping educate pet parents on meds, treatments, and care.
Partnering with Credentialed Technicians and DVMs to provide top‑tier care.
