Job summary

Allied Universal in Glendale, WI is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time unarmed vehicle patrol role. You will conduct routine patrols, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to shoppers and store personnel while driving a patrol vehicle in a retail/mall setting.

The position requires a valid driver's license and includes a pay rate of $18.00 per hour, with shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Wednesday through Sunday.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver history
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws
• Drug screen required where permitted by law
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities per site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior, property concerns, and policy violations to site management or law enforcement as appropriate.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly, welcoming retail environment by providing directions, responding to customer questions, and supporting site-specific security operations
