Hobbs Modern is one of the country’s premier Mid-Century Modern furniture restoration studios, specializing in museum-quality restoration of iconic vintage design. We work on exceptional pieces by legendary designers, with a strong focus on high-end upholstery and restoration for collectors, designers, and serious enthusiasts nationwide.

We are currently looking for a full-time Upholsterer to join our team in San Diego. We are seeking someone with strong upholstery experience across a wide range of furniture types and a passion for craftsmanship and precision.

What You’ll Be Working On

A large portion of your work will focus on restoring and rebuilding vintage Eames Lounge Chair cushions, one of our specialties. You should be comfortable working with leather, foam, and detailed upholstery techniques that require consistency and high attention to detail.

You will also work on:

• Sofas and couches
• Dining chairs
• Leather upholstery
• Custom upholstery projects for rare Mid-Century Modern furniture
