Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time unarmed patrol role in Elkton, MD. The position requires DoD security clearance and a valid driver’s license, with duties including site security, access control, and customer service at an aerospace/defense location.

You will conduct patrols, respond to alarms, document incidents, and uphold site procedures while supporting a mission-focused environment. The role features daytime-evening shifts and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain entry records.
• Conduct regular patrols of facilities, grounds, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
