Job summary

Global Diagnostic Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled ultrasound technologist to perform ultrasound procedures across abdominal, obstetric, vascular, and cardiac imaging, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.

You will prepare patients, explain procedures, maintain sterile imaging environment, and collaborate with physicians to interpret findings, while adhering to safety standards in a correctional setting. This role requires standing long hours, lifting, and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience performing ultrasound procedures across abdominal, obstetric, vascular, and cardiac imaging.
• Ability to explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and safety.
• Capable of maintaining sterile imaging environment and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures to obtain high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain process, apply gel, and ensure comfort.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, calibrate and troubleshoot.
• Assess image quality in real-time and adjust settings for optimal results.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to present images, assist in interpretation, and document findings.
• Handle administrative tasks, documenting patient history and imaging records.
• Work in a correctional setting with standing and lifting duties; rotating shifts and on-call.

Job description

• Performing ultrasound proceduresto obtain high-quality images for accurate diagnosis, including abdominal, obstetric, vascular, and cardiac imaging.
• Preparing patientsfor procedures by explaining the process, applying ultrasound gel, and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operating and maintaining equipment, including calibration, troubleshooting, and ensuring a sterile imaging environment.
• Assessing image qualityin real-time and making adjustments to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
• Collaborating with physicians and healthcare teamsby presenting images, assisting in interpretation, and documenting findings.
• Administrative tasks, such as documenting patient history, managing imaging records, and coordinating with the medical department.

• Work Environment

  Sonographers work in a correctional setting. This role requiresstanding for long periods, lifting patients or equipment, and adapting to rotating shifts, days, weekends, and on-call duties.
