Job summary

Prime Craftsman Homes in Wichita, KS is hiring a Trim Carpenter to install interior and exterior trim components in modular home units during the manufacturing process. You'll work in a plant environment to ensure trim work meets quality standards and production timelines.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and fitting trim with hand and power tools, reading basic blueprints, coordinating with framing and finishing teams, and maintaining safe, clean work areas.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Willingness to learn framing techniques and construction methods.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Prior construction or framing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Install interior trim components including baseboards, door and window casing and crown molding.
• Install exterior trim elements as required by production plans.
• Measure, cut, fit, and secure trim materials using hand and power tools.
• Perform finish work to meet appearance, fit, and quality standards.
• Read and follow work instructions, layouts, and basic blueprints.
• Identify and correct minor fit or finish issues during installation.
• Coordinate work with framing, electrical, plumbing, and finishing teams.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
• Follow safety standards and company safety policies.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Plant Manager
