Job summary

Peace Valley Recovery, LLC, an outpatient SUD treatment provider, is seeking a licensed therapist to join our clinical team. You will deliver individual, group and family therapy to adults in IOP and Outpatient programs, perform assessments and treatment planning, and guide clients through admission to discharge and aftercare.

You will carry a caseload, use evidence-based approaches, and collaborate with the treatment team to ensure high-quality care and accurate documentation within our EHR

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, MFT or related clinical field.
  • Active, unrestricted clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT or LCADC) in the state of practice.
  • Clinical experience treating substance use disorders.
  • Working knowledge of ASAM criteria and co-occurring disorders.
  • Strong group facilitation and documentation skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Carry a caseload of IOP/Outpatient clients and provide individual, group and family therapy.
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments and ASAM-based level-of-care determinations.
  • Develop and update individualized, measurable treatment plans.
  • Identify co-occurring mental health conditions and coordinate with medical providers.
  • Lead psychoeducational and process groups on relapse prevention and coping skills.
  • Conduct risk assessments and respond to clinical crises following agency protocols.
  • Complete progress notes, treatment plan reviews and discharge summaries in the EHR.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and support utilization review.
  • Build discharge and aftercare plans including step-down care and community referrals.
  • Maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.

About Peace Valley Recovery

Peace Valley Recovery is a licensed outpatient substance use disorder treatment provider offering Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient programming. We deliver compassionate, evidence-based care that meets each client where they are and supports lasting recovery for individuals and their families.

Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed, full-time Therapist with substance use disorder experience to join our clinical team. You will provide individual, group and family therapy to adults in our IOP and Outpatient programs. You will also complete assessments and treatment plans and work closely with the treatment team to guide clients from admission through discharge and aftercare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry a caseload of IOP/Outpatient clients and provide individual, group and family therapy. Use evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, relapse prevention and trauma-informed care
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments and ASAM-based level-of-care determinations
  • Develop and update individualized, measurable treatment plans
  • Identify and address co-occurring mental health conditions, and coordinate with our medical provider and outside providers
  • Lead psychoeducational and process groups on topics such as relapse prevention, coping skills, emotional regulation and family systems
  • Conduct risk assessments and respond to clinical crises following agency protocols
  • Complete timely, accurate progress notes, treatment plan reviews and discharge summaries in the EHR
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and support utilization review
  • Build discharge and aftercare plans, including step-down care, sober living and community referrals
  • Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy or a related clinical field
  • Active, unrestricted LCSW or other independent clinical license (LPC, LMFT or LCADC) in the state of practice
  • Clinical experience treating substance use disorders (required)
  • Working knowledge of ASAM criteria, co-occurring disorders and evidence-based treatment
  • Strong group facilitation and documentation skills
  • Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an IOP or Outpatient SUD setting
  • Additional addiction credential (LCADC, CADC)
  • Experience with EHR documentation and insurance/utilization review
