Job summary

Nusenda Credit Union in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Full-Time Teller at the Alameda Branch who can work flat 30 hours per week with open availability, Monday through Saturday. You will be the member’s first point of contact and provide a high level of service while handling routine financial transactions.

You will use a consultative approach to educate members on products, refer to specialists when needed, and perform vault duties. Prior banking experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• One to three years of similar or related experience.
• Previous banking experience preferred.
• Equivalent to a high school education.

Responsibilities

• Process member financial transactions with high accuracy and in accordance with policies.
• Educate members on available products using a needs-based sales approach and refer to specialists as needed.
• Operate as a vault teller and handle vault cash duties including cash ordering.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth operations.
• Support training and development of new tellers.

We are currently seeking Full-Time Teller to join our Alameda Branch who can work Flat 30 hours per week with open availability and flexibility, Monday-Saturday.

If you are looking for an opportunity to join our team, our Teller role might be right for you. As a Teller at Nusenda, you are the member’s first point of contact. You will be a trusted financial resource to existing and potential members by assisting with routine financial transactions at an exceptional service level. You will use a consultative approach to evaluate, educate, and fulfill member financial needs, referring members to specialized departments when necessary.

What you'll do:

• Processes member financial transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, laws, and regulations, with a high degree of accuracy.
• Assists members by assessing needs and educating on available products utilizing a needs-based sales approach and refers members to specialized departments as needed.
• Operate as a vault teller and is responsible for vault cash duties including cash ordering.

Financial transactions include, but are not limited to, cash, negotiable instruments, account transfers, and loan/credit card payments.

Assist in a variety of tasks to ensure efficient office operations including opening and closing procedures.

Assist management with training and development of new and existing tellers.

What you'll need:

• One to three years of similar or related experience.
• Previous banking experience preferred.

Equivalent to a high school education.

Key skills and experience:

• Advance knowledge of service delivery operations.
• Accuracy in numbers, procedural detail, processing and balancing negotiable instruments.
• Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.
• Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.
