Job summary

American Surveying & Engineering, Ltd. is seeking a Survey Technician to join our full-time field team in Illinois. The role supports survey crews on highways, railroads, airports, rivers, and lakes using state-of-the-art equipment including Mobile LiDAR and drones.

Willing to train but prior experience is valued; you will assist in field surveying, mapping projects, and related infrastructure work. A valid driver's license and ability to work outdoors in varying weather are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

Willing to train, but experience is preferred. Work includes various field duties in support of survey crews for Highways, Railroads, Airports, Rivers, and Lakes. State-of-the-art survey equipment is used in the performance of field surveying and mapping projects, including Mobile LiDAR, Drones, and Hydrographic Survey Vessels. In addition, long corridor right-of-way and parcel acquisitions for public and private corridors, including highways, pipelines, transmission lines, and other infrastructure.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Compensation:

$40,000 to $80,000 Annually Based On Experience.
