Job summary

Ridgewood Rehab and Healthcare Center in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in a collaborative setting.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, educate residents and staff, and coordinate with physicians to support optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• ASHA Certification or CF eligibility (CF candidates welcomed).
• Good standing with licensing boards.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities or long-term care preferred.
• Familiarity with Net Health documentation system a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing impairments.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on resident needs.
• Provide skilled therapy services aligned with medically necessary goals.
• Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies when appropriate.
• Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on treatment approaches and progress.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to coordinate instrumental swallowing evaluations (e.g., MBSS, FEES).
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per facility and regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to family inquiries and concerns.
• Train and support restorative nursing staff as needed.
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and dignity at all times.

Position Summary
