Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited university with an MA or MS in communication disorders, ASHA-recognized and state-board approved.
• Holds current NC license/registration.
• Successful CFY completion as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive speech therapy evaluations per MD orders.
• Document findings in the evaluation format per guidelines.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans with goals, frequency, duration, and modalities.
• Obtain MD orders for evaluations, treatments, recertifications, and discharges.
• Provide treatment using modalities and adjust per patient needs while following safety precautions.
• Document progress and update treatment plans monthly in standardized format.
• Complete patient discharge documentation and in-service as needed.
• Co-sign notes for CFYs and students as required by state/federal guidelines.
