Job summary

Marshfield Public Schools is seeking a Tutor - Special Education for Furnace Brook Middle School in Marshfield, MA. The role is 35 hours per week, multi-age TLC assignment, due to a one-year leave of absence. Compensation is per the Tutor Salary Schedule with starting as soon as possible for the 2026-2027 year.

The position reports to the Special Education Department Head, Building Principal, and Assistant Superintendent of Student Services. Must meet citizenship/residency requirements.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in education preferred.
• MA DESE License preferred.
• Strong desire to work with special needs children.
• Ability and experience working with students who have social/emotional and behavior challenges.
• Ability to work effectively with teachers and students.
• High personal integrity, reliability, punctuality, and ability to maintain confidentiality required.
