Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Homewood, AL seeks a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound imaging and related procedures for interpretation and intervention.

You will work closely with radiologists, maintain image quality, abide by safety standards, and support student sonographers while using corporate radiology systems. This role starts with benefits from day one and requires ARDMS certification within 12 months.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of sonography.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with ARDMS.
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certificate.
  • Must be ARDMS registered within twelve (12) months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic sonographic exams with radiologist guidance.
  • Maintains patient comfort and safety while obtaining quality images.
  • Monitors technical quality, annotation, and patient identification across examinations.
  • Adheres to Quality Control standards and hospital policies.
