Crystal Springs, Inc. in Assonet, MA is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to support students with speech and language challenges.

You will assist the SLP by implementing treatment plans, collecting data, and promoting best practices in a supportive educational environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and MA licensure to practice as an SLPA.
• Valid driver's license for more than one year and ability to drive the company's wheelchair or mini-vans safely according to Massachusetts driving laws
• Willingness to participate in a minimum of two hours per month of in-service training to further develop necessary skills

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment protocols prescribed by the SLP.
• Maintain a predictable schedule for speech therapy services in accordance with IEP requirements.
• Model language comprehension strategies and collect accurate data during therapy sessions.
• Consult with the SLP to ensure the students' progress aligns with therapy objectives.
• Pace treatment sessions for maximum student response and use cues and prompts as appropriate.
• Provide behavioral reinforcement tailored to each student and select suitable materials for therapy.
• Train direct care staff to apply speech therapy recommendations and offer orientation training in communication, feeding, swallowing, and assistive technology.
• Serve as a liaison between students, guardians, staff, and the supervising SLP.
• Maintain accurate records and recognize signs of dysphagia, reporting safety concerns to the supervising SLP.
