Job summary

Sleep Centers Of Texas in San Antonio, TX, invites a qualified polysomnographic technologist to join a dedicated healthcare team performing diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies. Under supervision of Medical Director, you will conduct polysomnography, MSLT, MWT, HSAT, initiate and monitor PAP therapy, and supervise other technicians. This position requires credentialing in sleep technology and strong communication. This role offers variable hours and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Credentialing by boards: RPSGT or CPSGT.
• RST certification by ABMS.
• CRT-SDS and RRT-SDS credentials.
• CPR or BCLS certification (AHA/Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and titration polysomnography, MSLT, MWT, and HSAT.
• Initiate and monitor PAP therapy for patients.
• Provide supervision of other technical personnel.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and communicate with Medical Director and physicians.
• Ensure continuity of care and meet patients' medical needs.

Job description

Established and rapidly growing healthcare practice in San Antonio, Texas seeks Polysomnographic Technologist to join its team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

Under the general supervision of the Medical Director, sleep technologist will perform diagnostic and titration polysomnography, multiple sleep latency tests, maintenance of wakefulness tests, and home sleep apnea tests. In addition, sleep technologist will be responsible for initiating and monitoring PAP therapy. The sleep technologist must be credentialed in sleep technology and able to provide supervision of other technical personnel.

• Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist: Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT), Certified Polysomnography Technologist (CPSGT)
• American Board of Sleep Medicine: Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)
• National Board of Respiratory Care: Certified Respiratory Therapist-Sleep Disorders Specialist (CRT-SDS),
• Registered Respiratory Therapist – Sleep Disorders Specialist (RRT-SDS)
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR or BCLS certification
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; proficient computer skills
• Effective customer service skills; social skills; and age-specific and cultural competencies

This position requires candidate to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to assess, coordinate and implement patient care; to communicate effectively with the Medical Director, referring physician, other sleep technologists and technicians, and administrative staff; and to ensure continuity of care for the patient so that the patient's medical needs are met.
