Job summary

Dutch Bros Coffee is seeking a Shift Lead to uphold our vision, culture, and core values on each shift. You will serve as a servant leader, communicating with leadership on feedback and handling the hard tasks so the crew can focus on core values.

You will train new Broistas, model our manifesto, and manage inventory readiness while coordinating with the Shop Manager to maintain cleanliness and standards for a mind-blowing customer experience.

Qualifications

• 6 months of Broista experience preferred.
• No disciplinary action in the past 90 days.
• Flowcheck score of 90% or better and on time.
• Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler Permit/Certification as required by state/local regulations.
• Able to complete and maintain mandatory certifications and training per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift to deliver a mind-blowing customer experience and uphold Dutch Bros standards.
• Prepare and energize the crew for specials or promotions with the right attitude.
• Model and teach Broista training, covering operational and cultural aspects.
• Set up the next shift for success: tills, deposits, restocking, cleanliness.
• Communicate wins and opportunities to shop leadership and attend mandatory meetings.
• Ensure inventory and shop setup/cleanliness align with QA inspections and policies.

Position Overview

As a Shift Lead, you will ensure that the vision, culture, and core values of Dutch Bros are upheld on every shift. We look to our Shift Leads to be servant leaders within the shop, communicating with leadership on any internal or external feedback. They are the ones who do the hard, and sometimes less desirable, work so that the rest of the crew can focus on core values during shifts.

Job Qualifications

• 6 months of Broista experience at Dutch Bros preferred

• No disciplinary action for the past 90 days, required

• Successfully completed the most recent flowcheck (90% score or better) and on time

• A prerequisite to employment is to obtain and maintain a Food Handler Permit/Certification as required based on state/local regulations

• Ability to complete, pass and maintain mandatory certificates, training, and knowledge tests under the Dutch Bros required standards for company policies and federal, state, and/or local regulations

Schedule:

• This role requires that you have availability to work a minimum of 32 hours per week.

• Available to work a flexible, ever-changing schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Key Result Area (KRA):

Lead the experience for every Broista on shift that ensures a mind-blowing experience for every customer:

• Cultivate the Dutch Bros atmosphere and standards on shift ensuring that Broistas are meeting all expectations; help solve problems on shift

• Manage the shift - responsible for ensuring Broistas are prepared for any specials or promotions and have the right energy and attitude for the customer

Be an expert on drink and operational fundamentals to execute Broista training:

• Primary responsibility is to model and meet all expectations of the Broista role

• Train new Broistas operationally and culturally while providing a fun-loving, mind-blowing environment

• Set Broistas up for success by covering all aspects of the Manifesto during training

Aid your Shop Manager and Shop Lead in shop inventory management, support, and other delegated duties:

• Set up the next shift for success in all areas: counting tills, bank deposits, restocking products, putting inventory away, meeting cleanliness standards, etc.

• Communicate with your manager and share wins and opportunities for improvement with your shop leaders

• Be a good role model. Attend mandatory meetings, know your resources, and adhere to all company policies and procedures as laid out in the Shift Lead Field Guide and Employee Handbook

• Aid the Shop Manager and Shop Leads in Inventory

• Aid the Shop Lead and Shop Manager in ensuring shop setup and cleanliness standards are met

• Work with the Shop Lead and Shop Manager in following up with Quality Assurance inspections and accountability process

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing/walking, up to 10 hours at a time

*Qualifying candidates may be eligible to receive relocation compensation upon acceptance of a job offer that requires them to move. The amount of relocation compensation varies and is based on the total distance of the relocation (among other variables).

Compensation:

Up to $18.52 per hour
