Job summary

Alfred is seeking a Full-Time Shift Lead to support daily cafe operations and lead the team through busy shifts. You will drive hospitality standards, coach staff, ensure service quality, and uphold Alfred’s brand across guest interactions.

This non-exempt, full-time role reports to the Cafe Manager and offers wage-based compensation with tips, plus benefits and career growth opportunities within a thriving cafe network.

Qualifications

• Experience in cafe, coffee, or restaurant operations preferred but not required.
• Strong hospitality mindset and guest-service focus.
• Clear communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospitality standards and provide confident, Solutions-oriented leadership during shifts.
• Support staffing, floor coverage, and shift flow decisions with management.
• Coach teammates, reinforce operational standards, and onboard new hires.
• Develop product knowledge of coffee and tea offerings and origins.
• Maintain cafe cleanliness, organization, and proper food/beverage preparation.
