Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities is seeking a Full-Time Server to create warm dining experiences for residents in a senior living community. You will join a collaborative team, greet residents with genuine care, and help maintain a clean, welcoming dining room.

Responsibilities include serving breakfast and lunch, assisting with room service, and supporting daily operations. Must be 15+ and available for a daytime schedule with some evening/weekend flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Available Monday–Friday 7:30am–2:00pm with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Able to obtain required food handler permits within two weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and deliver breakfast and lunch, explaining the menu and taking orders.
• Clear and reset tables, carry dishes, and ensure water carafes are filled.
• Help keep dining area clean by vacuuming and restocking as needed.
• Deliver room service meals and collect trays with a positive attitude.
• Listen to resident feedback and escalate to a supervisor when needed.
• Support other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

About the Role

As a Full-Time Server, you’ll do more than serve meals, you’ll create meaningful dining experiences that bring joy to residents. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll share ideas, respond thoughtfully to feedback, and contribute to a positive, caring community environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Make residents’ mornings special- Set the tone for their day by greeting them and delivering exceptional breakfast and lunch experience. You’ll carry trays, serve drinks and meals, explain the menu, take orders and anticipate residents’ needs to ensure every interaction feels personal and compassionate.
• Keep the dining room looking its best by clearing and resetting tables, carefully handling dishes, filling and refilling water carafes, and setting tables before meals.
• Help keep things clean and organized by vacuuming carpets, cleaning the salad bar, and completing other cleaning tasks as needed.
• Deliver room service meals and pick up trays with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Listen and respond kindly to resident comments or concerns and share feedback with a manager or supervisor when needed.
• Jump in and help where needed by completing support work and other tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.

What We’re Looking For

• Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday 7:30am to 2:00pm with flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to secure required food handler permits as required by local ordinances within two (2) weeks of hire.
• State regulations may require certain applicants to obtain a work permit before beginning employment. If this applies to you based on your age and state of residence, the Community Manager at the location where you are applying will provide guidance on the necessary steps. Any required work permit must be submitted to the Community at the time of hire to ensure compliance with state requirements.
