Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Entry Screening in Gaithersburg, MD to safeguard clients across Logistics & Distribution sites and other facilities. You will screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries, monitor access points, and report security concerns.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or drivers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe package-handling and distribution areas for unusual activity, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations accurately.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business perimeter, to help deter unauthorized access and support site operations.
