Job summary

Allied Universal in De Soto, KS is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Credential Support to safeguard clients across multiple industries. The position requires a strong customer-service mindset, comfort with computers/tablets, and the ability to meet the minimum age and background-screening requirements.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office, technology, media, and telecommunications work areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain a professional presence to help deter unauthorized activity and support an orderly environment across the location.
