Job summary

Prosegur Security USA, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer in Richardson, TX. The role requires excellent verbal and written English communication, one year of security experience, and a valid Texas Non-Commissioned Level II Unarmed Security License.

You will patrol client facilities, respond to emergencies, and prepare clear reports to ensure safety and security. Candidates must pass a background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol test.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English; professional demeanor with all levels of personnel and public
• One year of Security Officer experience
• Valid Texas Non-Commissioned Level II Unarmed Security License
• Ability to prepare written reports and logs legibly
• Must read and understand operating procedures and instructions
• Background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol test may be required
• Advanced computer skills to use access control technology at client sites
• Ability to handle both routine and crisis situations calmly and efficiently
• Patrol client facilities to prevent hazards, theft, violence or other infractions
• Respond to emergencies and investigate disturbances to ensure safety of people and property
• Must be able to work in various environments and stand/walk for long periods

Job description

Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines


• Must have one-year Security Officer experience


• Must have a valid/current State of Texas Non-Commissioned Level II Unarmed Security License


• Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting


• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment


• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test, may be required to pass Drivers Record check


• Advanced computer skills to utilize innovative, access control technology at client-specific sites


• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently


• Help patrol our client's facilities and prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or other infractions before they occur. Respond to emergencies, investigate disturbances, and help ensure the safety and security of people and property

Pay Rate: $17.50/hr.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• At least 18 years of age


• High school diploma or equivalent


• Must have one-year Security Officer experience


• Must have a valid/current State of Texas Non-Commissioned Level II Unarmed Security License


• Security or related work experience with a solid understanding of the security industry and contract security services


• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills


• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently


• Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat


• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
