Job summary

Full-Time Security Officer position in Burlington, VT with Securitas. The role supports a new client with an official start date of November 1, 2026 (subject to change). Pay is $23.00/hr and schedule is 8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week (days TBD).

No security experience is required; training is provided. You will conduct interior and exterior patrols, complete reports, maintain a visible security presence, and de-escalate situations when needed.

Qualifications

• Able to stand and walk during an 8-hour shift.
• Proficient with computers and digital reporting.
• Maintains a professional appearance.
• Vermont Guard Card or the ability to obtain prior to starting.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years old.
• No prior security experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the facility and surrounding property.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and Incident Reports accurately and timely.
• Respond to and verbally de-escalate situations as needed.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity and safety concerns.

Securitas is hiring for a Full Time Security Officer to help keep our retail client's site safe in Burlington, VT. This is a new client with an official start date of November 1st, 2026 (subject to change).

Pay: $23.00/hr

Schedule: 8 hour shifts, 40 hours per week, 1st and 2nd shift (days TBD)

• Able to remain on their feet and walk throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Proficient with computers and digital reporting
• Maintains a professional appearance
• Dependable, punctual, and observant
• Vermont Guard Card or the ability to obtain this prior to starting work
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old

Primary Security Officer Duties:

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the facility and surrounding property
