Compass Group USA’s Chartwells K-12 unit is hiring a full-time COOK for Niles Community Schools in Niles, MI. You will prepare high-quality meals following recipes and standards, and ensure correct portions and temperatures for all served items.

The role requires a high-volume cooking background, a Monday–Friday schedule (7:00 am – 2:00 pm), and a competitive pay range. Benefits are offered to associates, including retirement and health programs.

Qualifications

• High-volume/fast-paced cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery with correct portions, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and attractive.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, adheres to safe food-handling procedures.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
