Job summary

Pineville High School (9-12) in Pineville, Louisiana is seeking a custodian to maintain and clean all assigned areas of the school facilities, grounds and equipment. The role requires vigilance in safety and policy compliance with supervision by the head custodian.

The position is full-time with a 12-month term and reports to the Building Evaluator or designee. Starting immediately, salary is set per the Custodian Salary Schedule-NIV at $21,435 per year.

• Skilled in the maintenance of school district building facilities, equipment, and grounds relative to caring, cleaning, repair, and replacing

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance activities of building facilities, equipment and grounds as directed by head custodian, building evaluator, or custodial supervisor.
• Follow state, school board and school policies relative to the safety and security of buildings, equipment and supplies.
• Maintain and/or prepare equipment and supplies as necessary for various tasks.
• Report safety hazards to custodial supervisor.
• Submit requests for janitorial materials, supplies, equipment as needed.
• Work cooperatively with other custodial staff, head custodian, building evaluator, custodial supervisor, and other school district personnel as necessary to perform assigned duties.
• Adhere to schedule for routine and special tasks as approved by the building evaluator and head custodian.
• Attend in-service training as required by the custodial supervisor and/or building evaluator.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the custodial supervisor and/or building evaluator.
• Follow federal, state, and Rapides Parish School District policies.
