Job summary

Chartwells K12 in Giddings, TX is hiring a full-time Food Service Worker to prepare, present and serve meals in a school setting. You will perform prep, ensure safety, sanitation and portion control while following approved recipes and production standards.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with days and hours that may vary, and onboarding will include training. Prior food service experience and TX Food Handler’s Certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience preferred.
• TX Food Handler's Certificate preferred.
• Ability to follow safety, sanitation and portion-control standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, wash, peel, cut and seed fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure ingredients according to recipes.
• Transport food, supplies and equipment safely between stations.
• Store and rotate food with proper wrapping, dating and sanitation.
• Maintain clean work areas and equipment.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Monitor temperatures and quality to ensure safety standards.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay information to supervisor.
• Adhere to company service standards and cash control procedures.
• Comply with all sanitation and safety requirements.
