Job summary

Coachella Valley Unified School District is seeking a District Employees ONLY Bus Driver to transport students to and from school. This is an in-house vacancy for current district employees with the required CA Class B license, passenger endorsement, and School Bus Driver Certificate. The role includes a structured work year of 182 days and an eight-hour day, split shift.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a licensed motor vehicle operator in an educational setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CA Class B Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement.
• Valid School Bus Driver Certificate.
• Valid medical examiner's certificate.
• Current First Aid Certificate acceptable to CA Highway Patrol.
• Air Brake Endorsement.
• Knowledge of California Motor Vehicle Code and Education Code for transporting school students.
• Pass District Test.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus under general supervision to transport students to and from school and activities.
• Perform related duties as required by the Transportation Department.
