Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Union, KY is seeking a full-time school-age teacher to ensure safety and supervision in one classroom. You will develop developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with NAEYC standards and tailor activities to each child’s interests and learning styles.

You will partner with families, communicate with parents, and, when needed, transport children after school while maintaining a warm, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or CDA or Level 3 or bachelor’s degree are acceptable.
• 1 year of licensed child care experience is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for childcare employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of school-age children in one classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum per NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe environment for growth and exploration.
• Partner with families to plan for best care and education.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians.
• Transport children to and from school in the afternoons.
• Obey traffic laws and ensure safety of all children.
• Assist students with getting on and off the bus if required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field

CDA credential

Career Pathway Level 3

Bachelor's Degree in any field
