Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is looking for a qualified OPERATING ROOM Registered Nurse to join their team in Midland, Texas. This position requires no weekends, holidays, or call. The ideal candidate will focus on excellent customer service and demonstrate strong teamwork abilities.

The role involves addressing diverse patient needs and adhering to AORN standards. Ideal candidates should have a Texas Nursing License and relevant certifications, with experience in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience in surgery in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
  • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.

Job description

Texas Surgical Center is seeking a qualified OPERATING ROOM Registered Nurse
  • NO CALL
  • NO HOLIDAYS
  • NO WEEKENDS

TEXAS SURGICAL CENTER is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi‑task, show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and be able to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team. Position requires weekdays only – no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

Position Responsibilities
  • Determines data collection based on the patient's condition or needs as related to the proposed interventions
  • Addresses the physiological, psychological, socio‑cultural and spiritual needs/responses of the patient.
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks and flexibility as job priorities change.
  • Demonstrates a positive can‑do attitude
  • Work is accurate and complete
  • Demonstrates knowledge and follows AORN standards
  • Functions as a team member
  • Completes initial and annual competencies as required.
  • Maintains licenses and certifications.
  • Adheres to dress code, attendance punctuality, meal break and rest periods
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Attends required department meetings.
  • Assumes responsibility for continuing education requirements
Required Skills
  • Education, Training and Experience
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • Current Texas Nursing License
    • Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
    • Experience in surgery in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred
    • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
    • Understanding principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
    • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
