Job summary

Inspired Living at Lakewood Ranch in Bradenton, FL is seeking a full-time Cook. The role supports the Restaurant and Hospitality department, ensuring meals meet nutritional requirements and resident preferences while adhering to safety standards.

You will work under the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality, maintain food temperatures, assist with menu program, train staff, and foster a positive dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in food service required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality with planning, directing, controlling, communicating, and coaching in the Food Service Department.
• Follows the Menu Program that meets nutritional requirements, as directed by the Director, Food Service.
• Responds to resident likes and dislikes maintaining high resident satisfaction.
• Maintains food temperatures and time controls during storage, production, and serving according to required food safety standards.
• Ensures that staff provides a service to maintain good resident experiences during meal times.
• Provides input and support to the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality on new hires and training staff in the dietary department.
• Maintains a clean kitchen and ensures safety standards are met.
• Fosters teamwork and positive impact on residents and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
