Sunny View Retirement Community in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Dining Room Server under the supervision of the Dining Room Manager to ensure residents and staff have a great dining experience. Servers engage guests warmly, provide menus, suggest dishes and assist with drink choices in a friendly, efficient manner.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, assisting with special events, staying informed on menu items, and following health codes.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers’ certification from local health department is required.
• Some High School Education is essential.
• Bachelor's Degree is nonessential.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors.
• Prepares the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, refilling condiments.
• Stays updated on current menu choices and specials.
• Direct guests to their tables, present menus, suggest dishes and assist with drink selection.
• Maintain dining experience by delivering items and replenishing utensils.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Fill in for absent staff as needed.
• Assist with special events as needed.
• Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting.
• Follow safety procedures and health codes in food handling.
• Attend mandatory in-service meetings and comply with policies.
