Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• Experience working in education, particularly in a classroom or virtual setting, is preferred.
• Comfortable using and troubleshooting various educational technology platforms.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote learning environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patience, creativity, and adaptability when working with students in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Support instructional delivery: assist the lead teacher in delivering lessons through various digital platforms, ensuring that learning objectives are met.
• Technology assistance: help students with accessing and navigating online platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, Zoom) and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
• Monitor student progress: track participation, assignments, and assessments, providing feedback or reminders as needed.
• Student engagement: encourage student participation in virtual discussions, group activities, and collaborative projects.
• Individual support: provide one-on-one or small group support for students who need additional assistance with course material, assignments, or technology.
• Communication: maintain regular communication with students and parents regarding student progress and assignments.
• Classroom management: help maintain a positive and structured online learning environment by enforcing behavioral expectations and assisting with moderation during virtual lessons.
• Record keeping: assist with managing attendance, grades, and reports for students in virtual learning environments.
• Collaboration: work closely with teachers and other staff members to align teaching strategies and ensure effective delivery of lessons and curriculum.
• Professional Development: participate in training sessions to stay current with educational technology tools and best practices for online learning.
