Job summary

Summit Spine & Joint Centers in Newnan, GA is seeking a full-time Sedation Registered Nurse to support our ASC location. You will provide conscious sedation services for outpatient procedures, monitor patients, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Ideal candidates hold an active Georgia RN license with BLS/ACLS certification and have ER/ICU experience or prior conscious sedation exposure, thriving in a fast-paced clinical environment and comfortable using EMR

Responsibilities

• Provide conscious sedation services for outpatient surgical cases in conjunction with ASC nursing team.
• Manage care of assigned patients using clinical knowledge and sound judgment.
• Deliver patient care using evidence-based guidelines and appropriate resources.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition; administer medications; document encounters.
• Communicate with collaborating physicians and specialists regarding patient care.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Develop care plans and provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Maintain professional composure and perform duties during scheduled shifts; manage stress and use de-escalation procedures.
• Exercise sound judgment; protect confidentiality; address concerns through supervisory procedures.

Sedation Registered Nurse (Full-Time)

Locations: Newnan, GA

Summit Spine and Joint Centers (SSJC) is on track to become the largest comprehensive spine and joint care provider in the state of Georgia, offering clinical, surgical, and imaging services to our patients. We are seeking a Full-Time, self-motivated Sedation Registered Nurses who are passionate about transforming lives through exceptional patient care.

These roles will support ASC clinic location in Newnan.

Responsibilities:

• In conjunction with other members of the ASC nursing team, provide conscious sedation services for outpatient surgical cases
• Manage the care of assigned patients using clinical knowledge, sound judgment, and decision-making skills appropriate for the patient population
• Deliver patient care utilizing standardized, evidence-based guidelines and appropriate resources
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition, administer medications, and document all encounters and progress notes
• Communicate with collaborating physicians and specialists regarding patient care
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Develop care plans and provide emotional support to patients and family members
• The employee must maintain professional composure and consistently perform assigned duties throughout the scheduled work period; manage routine workplace stressors and feedback without disrupting patient care, patient-facing operations, or coworkers’ work; and use established de-escalation and escalation procedures when appropriate.
• The employee must exercise sound judgment; maintain appropriate workplace boundaries; receive and respond to routine feedback and direction; protect confidential patient and business information; and address patient or workplace concerns through established supervisory and safety procedures. These functions are essential to the position.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing for the state of Georgia (no limitations)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ER or ICU nursing experience strongly preferred
• Prior conscious sedation experience required
• Familiarity with medical software and clinical equipment
