This role supports the doctor with diagnosis and treatment planning while delivering comprehensive preventive and periodontal care, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a Missouri license required.

Qualifications

• Current and active Missouri Dental Hygienist license.
• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, periodontal care, and infection-control standards.
• Ability to accurately document clinical findings and treatment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Personable, professional, and comfortable communicating with patients.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative dental team.
• Dependable and committed to maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for hygiene procedures.
• Review the daily schedule and patient charts and participate in daily team huddles.
• Update patient records and medical information as needed.
• Take and display radiographs and intraoral photographs per practice protocols.
• Perform dental prophylaxis.
• Perform periodontal scaling and root planing.
• Apply sealants when appropriate.
• Administer local anesthesia as permitted by regulations.
• Apply chemotherapeutic agents when indicated.
• Provide fluoride treatment and other preventive services.
• Educate patients regarding oral hygiene and periodontal health.
• Support the doctor by identifying areas of concern and assisting with treatment plans.
• Encourage patient referrals and maintain relationships with patients.
• Document treatment, findings, concerns, education, pending treatment, and follow-up care in charts.
• Follow infection-control, sterilization, and safety procedures.
• Disinfect, maintain, and restock treatment rooms and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
• Participate in staff meetings and maintain an efficient hygiene schedule.
